And so we finally say goodbye to 2020 with a win in the Intermediate Hurling Championship.
Fulham Irish did not make it easy, and we will meet them again soon in the league final.
It seemed a bit more fitting we should win it given that we celebrated the centenary of Sean Treacy’s Death, but fitting isn’t enough. The team had to go out and win it and that they did.
The final date was protracted because of COVID.
It has been wonderful to hear about how much it meant to people not just current club members but past members, supports here, in Ireland and further a field.
We have the DVD of the match and if you want a copy please get in touch after next weekend.
In the mean time this was what it meant to the players and I’m sure you will agree its infectious.
We will add more details later after it all sinks in.
Special thanks to some huge support over the recent weeks and days - Con McGrath, The Ramble Inn, The Hop Pole, The Mayfair
